Such a delicate nose - classic Willamette Valley at its best! Upon a swirl of the glass waft upward notes of fresh strawberry kept in check by a pleasingly rich earthiness. A touch of gentle spice rounds out the nose into delightful elegance. The wine's medium-bodied weight on the palate is the perfect follow-through from the nose; strawberry continues, balanced by raspberry and a touch of bing cherry. Finishes so smoothly, and with enough structure and acidity to make it as great to pair with food as to sip on its own. A wonderful effort, and a steal of a high-class Pinot Noir!
Food Pairing: Food pairings: roast chicken, grilled salmon, filet mignon, mushroom risotto. Anything with classic herbs, especially rosemary! Soft cheeses (brie, camembert).
